"Sometimes retinol/retinal can be a bit harsh, so if you want a more sensitive alternative, then bakuchiol is your pal! This specific bakuchiol face serum, other than having such a cute name, is actually really nice!! It's definitely good for my sensitive skin, absorbs quickly into my skin, and doesn't leave any residue or stickiness as if it was never there. My only complaint is that it does have a light herbal/earthy type of scent, which must be from the natural ingredients as it says it's fragrance free. Either way, the smell may not bother you since it's super light. I think this is a wonderful bakuchiol serum that anyone could try if they want a gentler version of retinol (or the even harsher retinal), as long as they don't mind earthy scents."

If you are smelling something from our serum, it is the natural fragrance of the Bakuchiol oil. Bakuchiol oil has a very distinct smell and usually many products in the market use fragrance to mask it. We use zero fragrance to minimize any type of allergens.

Works for my skin

This is a milky white serum which is a retinol alternative. Retinol can be too harsh on my skin, so I like using serums with peptides. I've been using this serum consistently for a few weeks now and my skin feels hydrated, and fine lines on my skin appear to be less severe. It isn't sticky, and has been working well as a base under my makeup. The serum also comes in a really nice green glass bottle. I did find it a little difficult to use the pump, as I couldn't control how much came out. I didn't notice any scent.
